An Ansys user conference was held on 17 May 2017 in Warwick at which ANSYS Inc presented: their latest company news; emerging trends in the CAE industry; details of fluids (CFD) product suite improvements at release 18; Structures (Mechanical) product suite enhancements in latest release 18; Advanced and emerging simulation capabilities and details of new pre-processing capabilities for mechanical and CFD applications. There were parallel sessions for detailed presentations of pre-processing, Mechanical and CFD users.
Mr Xuefeng Wu (Director) of TriVista Engineering attended the event and commented that attending this ANSYS user conference every year was a good opportunity to discover the newest features in the ANSYS latest software release. The main ANSYS enhancement this year is CFD enterprise package that bundled many ANSYS CFD related software. The main additional in Mechanical suite was the topology optimization which is a new powerful addition in reducing product weight to save material and energy.
