Icon 8 achieves a 99.85% reliability

An Icon 8 road rail vehicle has achieved a 99.85% reliability based on 1000 rail hours in operation both in France and the UK. The Icon 8 is the first of a new type of Icon Mobile Elevated Work Platform road rail vehicles (MEWP RRV’s) jointly developed by SRS International and  CRRC Sifang Co of China with help from TriVista Engineering. SRS indicated in a recent press release that TriVista Engineering were instrumental to the success of this project. A new Icon 10 vehicle type with larger platform reach is shortly also to be released.
