The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is hosting a Simulation and Modelling 2017 event from 12th-13th September in Birmingham. On looking over the agenda, this event looks very interesting covering the latest simulation techniques and insights with regards to computer aided and virtual engineering. Topics being presented include: advances being made in optimisation; the usage of High Performance Computing (HPC); streamlining manufacturing processes, CFD for analysis of structures and validation in the design process. The 2017 event has speakers from the following organisations: Jaguar Land Rover, Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, Tata Technologies and Ricardo UK. It is also a good networking opportunity with peers in the industry to share and discuss ideas.
