On 22 May, TriVista staff attended the ANSYS 2019 Innovation conference held at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) in Coventry. ANSYS detailed their current engineering simulation strategy and the latest (version 19.2) and future product release news covering Structures (Mechanical FEA), Fluids (CFD) and Low-Frequency Electromagnetics.
It was also a good opportunity to listen to various industry-speakers showcasing their use of ANSYS simulation and share simulation experiences.
It was interesting to see the extents to which engineering analysis was being applied in science helping athletes win Olympic/Paralympic medals as presented by Eoghan Clifford from the National University of Ireland. Dr Fathi Tarada detailed CFD analysis and full-scale testing performed of a novel Mojet® product that has been found to be highly successful in both improving the performance and reducing the costs of tunnel ventilation.
