TriVista’s engineers are very familiar with using the powerful graphical post-processing capabilities of ANSYS for both FE and CFD analysis results that assist in both identifying problem regions and providing a greater understanding of the product. These tools enable distributions and localised peaks to be readily visualised in 3D therefore enabling decisions to be made in both optimising the design and verifying integrity. However, not everyone is an engineer familiar with these graphical tools and it may on occasion be useful to have a physical 3D model of your product FE or CFD result for communications or marketing purposes.
After years spent evaluating FE results on many projects, TriVista feel that impeller FE plots always look the most impressive owing to their cyclic symmetry and a colour 3D printed physical impeller model of a FE stress distribution result is shown in the photographs.
